Dr. Sue Dechow is Director of Research and International Development, School of Teaching and Learning, College of Education and Human Ecology at Ohio State University. Since 1996, she has directed a research and international development office which provides support services to faculty pursuing external funding for research and international initiatives. She serves as the Executive Director of the U.S./Indonesia Teacher Education Consortium (USINTEC) and U.S. Chair of the Alliance for Teacher Quality (ATQ), a public-private development alliance headed by USINTEC. Her experience in directing Ohio State initiatives with Indonesia began in 1986, spans two decades, and includes numerous grants and contracts. Dr. Dechow has led multi-continent university consortia in providing graduate education and research training for Indonesian higher education faculty, designed customized programs for teacher educators from 31 institutions across Indonesia, and directed overseas programs and consulting services in three major Indonesia/World Bank projects. Those projects sought to develop Indonesian graduate education and research in teacher education as well as the pure and applied sciences. Prior to initiating the development of USINTEC in 2006, she led Ohio State institutional partnerships with Indonesia University of Education and State Universities of Malang and Surabaya, funded by the Republic of Indonesia and U.S. Department of State grants. Dr. Dechow began her career as a faculty member at a liberal arts college where she developed an intensive program of English as a Second Language and taught students from 40 nations. She holds degrees in English Education and TESOL from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her doctoral degree in Educational Policy and Leadership is from Ohio State University. Her specializations include teacher education research and international development, internationalization of higher education curricula and programs, and cross-cultural communication curriculum development. Recently, Dr. Dechow was an invited speaker at the Sixth National Conference on Indonesian Education in Bali and an invited panelist on "Expanding Bilateral Education Cooperation and Exchanges" at the U.S.-Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership Conference in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Lucila T. Rudge earned her doctoral degree at Ohio State in the area of Holistic Education. Her research interests include holistic practices in education, spirituality in education, integrated pedagogy, and philosophy of education. Prior to joining Ohio State, she was a Waldorf kindergarten teacher, a foreign and second language teacher, and a drama teacher. Dr. Rudge is originally from Brazil, has lived in the Caribbean and the U.K., and has been in the U.S. since 2002.

Tati is a second year doctoral student in reading and literacy for early and middle childhood in the School of Teaching and Learning, College of Education and Human Ecology. Tati obtained her master’s degree in bilingual/bicultural education from Teachers College, Columbia University NY under a Fulbright scholarship. She received her bachelor of education from the Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Jakarta. Tati's work experiences are mainly in the education field. She taught at her alma mater, UIN Jakarta, for two years prior to coming to the U.S. She also worked as a credential evaluator at World Education Services (WES), a non-profit organization in New York City. Tati is an active member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
